I am running for a position on the Board of Education for the Palo Alto Unified School District.  Schools are a vital part of our community.  As a mother, an attorney, and an active volunteer in our elementary, middle, and high schools I understand the quality of our Palo Alto schools, the challenges they face, and I believe I have skills and expertise that will help keep our schools excellent in the future. 

These are challenging times.  We need to work together as parents, teachers, and school administrators to provide the best possible education for all of our students.

Fighting to Keep Our Education Dollars in Palo Alto

For her efforts defending Basic Aid and keeping Palo Alto school property tax dollars from being grabbed by the state, the Palo Alto District PTA presented Camille Townsend with a 2003 Legislative Advocacy Award.
